Bailamos is an annual production showcasing the works of local tertiary Salsa groups. The Golden Ticket celebrates the developments in Singapore’s arts and entertainment scene, retelling the history through street Latin dance. Features a performance exclusively choreographed by renowned international salsa pro team, Omambo Dance Project.
SMU Caderas Latinas is an award-winning Salsa performance team, and a well-recognised student dance club in the local Salsa scene. As a beneficiary of SMU’s Arts Excellence Programme, it enjoys frequent exposure through campus events as well as local and overseas competitions. Their precise dance techniques and spellbinding showmanship are earned through regular practices and performances.
In July 2017, SMU Caderas Latinas represented Singapore in the Salsa team category of the Asia Open Championship. The two teams proudly emerged second place and fourth place, bringing home a silver trophy.
